How are our leather products made?
We handcraft unique leather accessories that are both functional and fashionable, such as our leather man bun and top knot wraps for men, or our leather ponytail holders, earrings, & hair barrettes for women.
No machines are ever harmed in the making of our wearable leather art creations!
We follow the old traditions of leather making and limit our earthly footprint by not using any electrical machinery when handcrafting our leather goods, such as a laser engraver or an electric sewing machine.
All of our veg-tanned leather goods have been cut, stamped, tooled, carved, embossed, painted, and/or dyed by hand using primitive tools and techniques. We use only leather-safe dyes and paints. You will see that our leathercrafting style is different in that we like to add a little color and flair to our leather goods.
Leather will naturally have organic imperfections which may affect how it reacts to the dye, paint or tooling technique, and therefore no two items are ever truly alike.
We try to keep our costs as low as possible by using sustainably-sourced, premium top-grain, vegetable-tanned leather that maintains its natural characteristics. Our pricing not only includes the leather, but also the hardware, leather dyes, paints, special tools, as well as soft non-metal elastics that are made to not hurt your hair. Lastly, there is our labor-of-love fee to create this heirloom item that takes us a few hours to handcraft.
We want to thank you for supporting our small husband-and-wife business as we follow our American Dream and make our living by creating unique genuine leather products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us before leaving a review so we can make things right. We want our customers to be happy with their purchase and proud to own a leather accessory that they can wear for years to come and pass down for generations.
